This is an amazing salon! I had Ronny and Anne on shampoo and the entire experience was so above and beyond what I had expected. Anne was so careful with my hair and temperature she was so sincere and kind. Ronny gave me the best haircut/color I have had ! I’ve been to many other salons and I have to say the overall experience is unparalleled. I highly recommend going here and the price is right !
Easily the best curly hair cut I ever had! Will definitely be back, thank you Shawnna!! (Took this about two weeks after the haircut)
I love Shawnna! She’s a diva curl expert, she listens to what you want and curates your experience. I’ve had 3 diva cuts and 2 highlights with her over the last year and I totally recommend her if you want to uplift your style!
Jill is super talented colorist and gives a great haircut.. shampoo ladies go above and beyond. Jostlyn rocks a blow out..she will do an amazing job.
unprofessional and incompetent staff. white lady SHAUNA or SHAWNA whatever her name is who’s in her 30s or 40s was the stylist. She messed up my friends hair and didn’t care to listen to her wants beforehand, teach your employees to do simple layers and not just straight chop hair off like a stupid butcher. $200 WASTED. was this woman on her first day cutting hair?? she does not know how to dye cut or do anything apparently. do better.
I cry every time I do my hair. This is by far the worst experience hair cut and color I have ever had and I’ve done plenty. I thought I would share my story if any new clients were considering this place. Think twice. And this is after sharing my concerns with management who offered a free cut once my hair grows out - I was basically shaved. I asked for my money back because I don’t trust going here again. They wouldn’t oblige. So I have a horrible haircut which literally makes me sick looking in the mirror. Full story below.
I’ve been coloring my hair and adding purple highlights since 2012. This is by far the worst hair appointment I’ve ever had since then. First, Elie made a big deal about the all over color I asked for and saying it was the most difficult thing he has ever heard. It was a partial highlight with full color. It was the same thing I did the last time visiting him so I’m not sure what that was about. Being military, I’ve had my hair done this way too many times to count.
Normally, stylists will bleach the areas the purple would go, then wash out, quick blow dry, add the purple, fold up the foil, and then add the full color all over and between the foil pieces. I’ve had it done so many times. He made me feel so bad about asking to do my hair this way. I don’t like confrontation so I just kept saying we could do something else. I should have gotten up and left. He also was not happy that he bought two tubes of the particular color I wanted (I called a head of time to make sure the color was there) but I didn’t want to put that many highlights in to use up the tubes. Again, making me feel uncomfortable.
He finally figured out how to color my hair, which was a different way than last time. He bleached my hair and then decided to do the all over color at the same time I was waiting for the bleaching process. He did a quick rinse and then he added the semi-permanent purple to my whole head essentially wasting a bunch of color because I did super dark brown/black for the all over color. Hence, I still had to pay for the extra tube. I would have rather bought it and left with it instead of wasting it. It did nothing to the areas that were colored darker. Literally paid for nothing.
Then, after showing a picture of how I wanted my hair cut, he cut it, and it looks nothing like what I asked. He chopped off so much of my hair and I can’t pull back in a ponytail which is important since i work out a lot. I don’t understand how a picture and showing him the length with my hands can be screwed up. I’m horrified every time I look in the mirror. I’m even more horrified of the amount of money I paid for ($250 plus tip) to get be talked to like that and leaving unhappy. It was a waste of a lot of money…and I detest my hair.
Absolutely butchered my layers, did not blend them into the length of my hair at all. When i went back to *attempt* to get it fixed, the stylist asked me “did i explain hair to you?” and proceeded to try and tell me the layers will simply grow way faster than the rest of my hair, and then it will be able to be blended. Sounded like he was just trying to cover up his screw-up. Although this happened a couple of months ago, i’m still livid about this because several people have commented on the chop and asked if i cut my hair myself. I’m being nice enough by not listing the stylists name, but do yourself a favor and go to a place that doesn’t condescend and overcharge for a haircut that a 3 year old could do better for FREE.
It’s been about a week since my devacut with Dawn at Frizzles Springfield and I am still in complete awe. As you can see from my pictures, Dawn did a great job both on the cut and styling. I went into Frizzles with some hesitation and not knowing how I’d come out but I am so happy to have found this place! I was also worried the price might be super high but for what I got I feel like it was a steal!! I got great hair product recommendations, and an overall amazing experience with super talented stylist, Dawn. Look forward to coming back :)
